The downtime this morning was almost identical to the issue we had yesterday despite many many hours spent trying to fix the issue. Needless to say we are a bit frustrated that yesterday’s efforts did nothing to prevent today’s downtime. We’re continuing to investigate what is causing these morning failures and we are currently thinking the cause may be deliberate malicious behavior. So our troubleshooting has shifted from trying to find software flaws/misconfigurations to trying to catch the hackers in the act and identify possible security holes.
